ABOUT US
My first meeting with Tornjak took place in my earliest childhood. At that time, I looked at shepherds, which crossed the river Sava with big stoves of over thousand sheep in company of big dogs, which awakened reverence and serenity in me because of their size. At that time I wasn't even suspecting that tens of these dogs would beautify my home one day.
Everything began 1994 as Rina Sokolva, our first Tornjak, arrived at our home. A wonderful bitch that immediately became the darling of our daughter Andrea, who was 6 years old at that time. Very soon arrived Billy, our first male dog, and so our breedery received its chief litter in 1996.

At this time only very littler was known about Tornjaks besides that they are outstanding work-dogs and extraordinary guards. People thought that their place is on mountain-grazings besides herds, but the growing interest in them and the more frequent appearance in dog-showings led to the realization, that the Tornjak, which lived in the mountains protecting sheep-herds for centuries, had also other characteristics: an outstanding natural connection to humans, to adept themselves to human beings and urban surroundings (especially with regards to their genetic heritage). Whether he is protecting sheep on the mountains or whether he in the show-ring or just accompanying humans, it will always suit its nature.
Since our first litter came to world our breedery had many litters until now and among them were several younger and older champions. When I look at our two daughters Andrea and Klara, as they play with our dogs every day and make friends with them and as also their enthusiasm grows for dog-showings and the breeding, I find the strength to to upgrade our breeding and improve our breedery each day. Therefore I pass my knowledge on to my daughters, since I know that has our breedery successors, which have the same love and passion for Tornjaks, which left the mountains, in order to come into our hearts and houses.
